The Mission
Shortly after The Quarantine Diaries aired, on May 25th the world changed as we witnessed the murder of George Floyd.
Despite the quarantine and pandemic, millions took to the streets demanding justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, Rayshard Brooks, Elijah McClain, and countless others. The world was listening. Finally. Nothing can contain creativity, challenges, and change. Not even a quarantine. The inability to gather together in a physical building will not stop us. Our voices will not be silenced. We will no longer be locked down or locked out. Barbara decided to continue to create work to benefit actors, writers, and directors who need and want to tell the stories of our times. And so, she created: UNBOXED Finding Our Way Out Theatre Without Boundaries STORIES ON FINDING FREEDOM: Focusing on promoting justice and equality for those in the BIPOC, LGBT, and incarcerated communities during Covid19. THE HUMAN PERSPECTIVE Capturing stories of those on the front lines: caregivers, essential workers, politicians and policies affecting the human experience of living through, surviving, and those left behind in the wake of Covid19. A fiscally-sponsored 501(c)3 accepting tax-deductible donations. All funds go toward compensating both union and non-union talent, production expenses, and development of new works. Donate here Thank you for joining us. |
